After the Gold Rush by Neil Young – Album Cover Location

“The album cover.” – Bob did an investigation about the album cover photo:

The photo was taken by photographer Joel Bernstein, most likely sometime in early 1970, as the album came out in August of that year.

In the book: Shakey: Neil Young’s Biography ((c) 2002, Random House) author Jimmy McDonough writes that Bernstein, 18-years-old at the time, was “shocked” that Neil chose that photo for the cover. Bernstein described it as an “accidental shot” of Neil walking through Greenwich Village (during an outdoor photo session) and he even “solarized the print in order to hide its soft focus.”

Rock & roll has still got a lot of legs. But I consider rock & roll and rap to be the same. It\'s popular music with an edge. If the edge doesn\'t have a guitar, that doesn\'t mean it\'s not rock & roll.
