While traveling through South Dakota in his cream-colored Lincoln Continental, the famous Lincvolt, Neil Young stops by the Poet biorefining laboratory to talk fuel with founder and executive chairman of the board Jeff Broin.
A press conference was held in the frigid Poet parking lot and Neil toured the Poet laboratory with Broin for a pair of video production crews.
Broin shared how he was contacted by Young.
“One day my secretary said ‘while you were out, Neil Young called.’
“The Neil Young? What’s he want?
“‘He asked you to call back.’
“Neil Young cold called me.”
How many people can say that?

me thinks, the question that has not been asked, is: where will all this Ethanol come from?
I think it’s an error to plant plants, wheat and all, food to eat, to then burn it in a big automobile cruiser. We had this discussion already in Europe, and it turns out to be ecologically bad. You get monocultures, just raising food plants to burn them. OK, America has these big plains where you can do fracking that is seen from outer space, so why not also do burning food for big cars… or buddy up with Monsantos…
IMHO, Neil is on an errant here. In the long run, it won’t help any farmers and any society if you grow food to burn it for fat automobiles.
