Neil & Crazy Horse played the Metro Radio Arena in New Castle, England on June 10. The review by Neil McCormick at the Telegraph opines:” He is not really interested in crowd-pleasing, which is precisely why he pleases his crowd so much.”
As for the 2 1/2 hour set he says “the sheer howling pleasure of it was utterly infectious.”

Rockin peruspilari Neil Young & Crazy Horse on varmistunut Kaisaniemen puistossa maanantaina 5. elokuuta järjestettävän Helsinki Classic Festivalin pääesiintyjäksi. Vuonna 2008 Neil Young täytti Hartwall Areenan äärimmilleen, mutta silloin kokoonpano oli toinen – legendaarinen Crazy Horse on nähty Suomessa viimeksi 2001. Ennen päätähtiä lavalle nousee suomalaisen musiikin suurnimi J. Karjalainen sekä roots-musiikin klassikoista tunnettu superkokoonpano Latebirds All Stars. Pääsyliput tulevat myyntiin maanantaina 25. maaliskuuta.
Here is a music memorabilia website called Backstage Auctions (www.backstageauctions.com) and they currently have a ‘Rock & Pop’ auction going on that contains over 700 lots, including five that are dedicated to Neil Young. What makes four of the five lots newsworthy is that they are consigned by the family of Bob Clark; the drummer of The Squires between 1964 and 1965. Included is an original drum head, postcards written from the road, as well as several fantastic photos, showing Neil Young in his truly early days.

Iconic American rocker Neil Young will return to Birmingham’s LG Arena on Tuesday (June 11, 2013) to reunite with his band Crazy Horse.
They are touring for the first time in eight years, after releasing their two 2012 albums Americana and Psychedelic Pill.
Young and Crazy Horse haven’t performed a full concert together since their Greendale tour in March of 2004, so fans have been flocking to see them in action.
setlist is moving — “This is how Surfer Joe happened: I just yelled it out after Fuckin’ Up. Neil heard it and asked the guys to do it. They quickly rehearsed the riff (and fucked it up) and then Neil started the song. Wow!” (Roel from Rust Radio reports)
