Neil Young Times, Crazy Horse

NEIL YOUNG REUNITES WITH CRAZY HORSE

Neil Young & Crazy Horse formally reunited over the weekend. The group played a cover of The Beatles’ classic “I Saw Her Standing There” during a MusiCares Gala honoring Sir. Paul McCartney on Friday night. The gala took place at Los Angeles’ Los Angeles Convention Center on Friday night as part of a series of pre-Grammy events. Young and Crazy Horse–which features Frank Sampedro, Billy Talbot and Ralph Molina–have not shared the stage since March 21, 2004. Young and Crazy Horse are currently working on two new studio projects, including an album of re-imagined children’s songs. Young announced the group’s return during Sundance in January and wet fans’ appetite by releasing a jammy rehearsal video a few weeks ago.

Neil Young And Crazy Horse Play Heaviest Beatles Cover Ever

Neil Young and Crazy Horse performed a full-on grunge version of The Beatles’ ‘I Saw Here Standing There’ for Sir Paul McCartney’s MusiCares Person of the Year dinner last night (February 10) in Hollywood.

This was the first public performance for Neil Young and Crazy Horse since Neil announced they had reformed and recorded a new album just a few weeks ago.

The day before Neil introduced Sir Paul McCartney onto the Hollywood Walk of Fame when the former Beatle became the last of his mates to receive a star outside of the Capitol Records building.

Sir Paul McCartney is in full-tilt promo mode talking up his new album ‘Kisses On The Bottom’.
